An events page serves as a vital tool for promoting, informing about, and managing events. It plays a significant role in attracting attendees, providing them with necessary details, and facilitating event registration. Depending on the nature of the event, the registration content and functionality of the page may vary, but its core purpose is to serve as a resource for event-related information.
Important: There are two versions of the page: Upcoming event and Past in person event. When the time of the event has passed, the upcoming event should change automatically into a past event. Only the Upcoming event needs to be created.
A. Upcoming event
The upcoming event introduction is presented with the Event and webinar hero module. It includes the following:
- Label: Upcoming event
Clearly mark the page as an "Upcoming Event" to inform visitors about the nature of the content. - Headline
Craft a concise headline that serves as a one-sentence overview of the event. The headline should specify the event's topic or theme. - Date and time
Provide the date and time of the event, specifying the timezone if applicable. - Location
Include the event's location, whether it's a city name for physical events or a note about it being an online event. - Attendees
Display the number of registrations received so far and the number of available places left. This creates a sense of urgency and encourages sign-ups. - Secondary button; Share event
Include a "Share Event" button that allows users to easily share the event on social media or via email. - Primary button; Sign up
Use a prominent "Sign Up" button that encourages users to register for the event. Make it clear and easily accessible.
The event details should include a short summary of what to expect when attending, the key insights, and the featured speakers. This will help the user decide whether the event is relevant for them.
The modules being used are:
- Full width text + image module (short summary)
Use a text and image module to provide a brief and visually engaging summary of the event. Include key details, such as the event's purpose, highlights, and why attendees should join. - Checkmark box (key insights)
Utilise a checkmark box or bullet points to highlight key insights or takeaways that attendees can expect from the event. Make these points clear and impactful. - Author module (featured speakers)
Showcase featured speakers using an author module. Include their names, titles and if possible a link to their LinkedIn account, website or similar. Use high-quality images of the speakers.
Form
The prominent "Get access now" registration form allows visitors to gain access to the event.
Use the form template for gated content here. This form template is used for all gated content (case studies, white papers, events and webinars).
All versions of the page will have related resources such as pre-event materials, recommended readings, or additional content that complements the event.
A. Related products
The related products are highlighted in the product ribbon module. These will be placed below the event details.
B. Related events
The preview card module is used to guide the user to related and most popular events on the upcoming event page. It is not used on the past event because the module is already used above, in the event details.
Provide contact information or a contact form for participants to reach out with questions, feedback, or inquiries related to the podcast with the get in touch module.
Customer support can include the following:
- Link to Henkel support center
- Request a consultation link
- Request a sample link
- Order request link
B. Past in person event
There are two types of past events, in person and online. The event page template only cater the past in person event, not online events. A past online event turns into a webinar page.
Past event introduction is presented with the Event and webinar hero module. It includes the following:
- Page type: Past event
Clearly mark the page as an "Past Event" to inform visitors about the nature of the content. - Headline
Craft a concise headline that serves as a one-sentence overview of the event. The headline should specify the event's topic or theme. - Date and time
Provide the date and time of the event, specifying the timezone if applicable. - Attendees
Display the number of attendees. - Secondary button; Share event
Include a "Share Event" button that allows users to easily share the event on social media or via email. Ensure it provides clear sharing options.
B. Past event
The past event details show the same information as the upcoming event; a short summary of what to expect when attending, the key insights, the featured speakers, but instead of the form a preview card module is located at the top of the description to help the customer find a similar or featured upcoming event.
The modules being used are:
- Preview card module (featured events)
Use a preview card module for highlighting upcoming and relevant events. - Full width text + image module (short summary)
