Instant adhesive

Instant adhesives fulfil a range of functions where 1- or 2-part, room-temperature curing is required within production lines or repair shops. Suitable for any industry, they perform equally well when applied manually as they do within instant adhesive dispensing equipment on automated lines. Custom, bespoke tool designs are available. Instant adhesives are referred to in ACM as instant bonding.

What is a product tagline and why is it important?

The tagline should include what makes a product unique within its product category. 80% of customers only read the product tagline and often only on the Product Listing Page, so it’s crucial to be both as accurate as possible and keep to the two golden rules of taglines:

Maximum 80-characters limit
No full-stop at the end

Constructing a product tagline

We have a simple formula to help you write compelling taglines for instant adhesive:

Examples

Refer to these examples when writing your tagline. And remember: no full stop at the end, and max 80 characters.

  • Your go-to fast-fixturing adhesive
  • Your heat resistant, general purpose gel
  • Toughened, medical grade, high temperature adhesive
  • High gap-filling, instant adhesive gel for all common substrates
  • A low-bloom, low-viscosity adhesive for medical device assembly
  • Dual-cure instant adhesive perfect for exposed fillet or surface cure
  • Black, low-viscosity adhesive for flexible materials
  • General purpose, very low-viscosity metal bonding

What is a short description and why is it important?

Use the short description, in max 2 sentences, to describe what’s specific to the product within its category, and how the product provides value in application. In short, expand on the tagline without repeating it verbatim (and don’t forget a full stop at the end!).
Do not include the product name in the short description.

Constructing a short description

We have a simple formula for writing compelling short descriptions:

Examples

Refer to these examples when writing your short description:

  • This 1-part, surface-insensitive, fast-fixturing instant adhesive provides high shear strength on a wide range of materials, including difficult-to-bond substrates.
  • This 1-part translucent, moisture-cured, ethyl cyanoacrylate gel is designed for general purpose applications.

  • This 1-part, toughened and thermally resistant, low-viscosity instant adhesive is formulated for medical device applications where impact- or high temperature-resistance is required.

  • This 2-part, fast-fixturing, gap-filling instant adhesive is designed for use on all common substrates, including most plastics, metals, rubbers, wood, and paper. Perfect for quick repairs of broken plastic parts and all types of emergency repair.

What is a long description and why is it important?

  • Here you have the space to describe in greater detail all the important technical characteristics. Elaborate on the tagline and short description (verbatim if necessary), and add any important info not yet mentioned.Works on vertical surfaces
  • Bonds all common substrates
  • Instant component bonding
  • Temperature resistance of -40°C to 80°C (-40°F to 176°F)
  • Gap filling up to 5 mm (0.2")

Constructing a long description

There is no specific formula for writing long descriptions: just start with the product name (remembering the ®) and elaborate in 2-3 sentences details on the product. The first sentence should be the primary differentiators / key features, with the following sentences additional information on substrate compatibility, specific applications, etc. And of course remember to stick to all protocols for measurements, spacing, etc.

Examples

Refer to these examples when writing your long description:

  • LOCTITE® 401 is a fast-fixturing instant adhesive designed for the assembly of a wide range of materials where uniform stress distribution and high tensile and/or shear strength are required. Using primer LOCTITE® SF 770, the assembly of difficult-to-bond (PP, PE, PTFE) materials is possible. In addition, it is suited for bonding porous materials such as wood, paper, leather and fabric.
  • LOCTITE® 4206 is a clear, toughened and thermally resistant, low-viscosity instant adhesive. You can expect good impact- peel- and temperature-performance up to 121°C (250°F), and it has a fixture time of 40 seconds. Ideal for the assembly of metals, rubbers, and plastics, including difficult-to-bond (PP, PE, PTFE) plastics when used with a primer such as LOCTITE® SF 770.
  • LOCTITE® 3092 2-part instant adhesive is ideal for the assembly of parts with varying or undefined bond gaps up to 5 mm (0.2"), and applications where the complete cure of excess adhesive is a must. The gel consistency prevents adhesive flow, even on vertical surfaces, and can bond even porous materials like wood, paper, leather, and fabric. Best application results are achieved with the mixing nozzle provided.

What are USPs and why are they important?

Here you can list the top 3 to maximum 5 things a customer would need to know about the product, based on what they’re most likely to use it for. Try to focus on genuine USPs, rather than generic information you could find in many products. Ensure any regional-specific certifications are included (as a one-off 6th USP if necessary).

Constructing USPs

We have a simple formula for writing compelling USPs:

Examples

Refer to these examples when writing your USPs (and please note: no full stops at the end):

  • Universal industrial instant adhesive
  • Very high strength on close-fitting parts
  • Reduced hazardous ingredients for improved occupational safety
  • Bonds a wide range of similar or dissimilar substrates (metals, rubber, wood, cardboard, ceramics, and most plastics)
  • Assembles difficult-to-bond materials using LOCTITE SF 770 primer
  • Universal instant adhesive gel
  • Superior resistance to humidity
  • Will not drip or run
  • Resists thermal cycling
  • Thermally resistant up to 121°C (250°F)
  • Toughened
  • Excellent peel, impact and sheer strength
  • Low viscosity / high viscosity / medium viscosity
  • Works on vertical surfaces
  • Bonds all common substrates
  • Temperature resistance: -40°C to 80°C (-40°F to 176°F)
  • Gap filling up to 5 mm (0.2")

What is meta data and why is it important?

The meta title is the product name, and the meta description is the product tagline. These data influence how pages appear in search results, impacting click-through rates and visibility. Optimizing meta data is important because it helps attract the right audience and improves search engine rankings and, by extension, leads.

Examples

  • Meta title: LOCTITE® 401
  • Meta description: Your go-to fast-fixturing adhesive

  • Meta title: LOCTITE® 4851
  • Meta description: Low-viscosity flexible adhesive for medical devices
